WHO + MCI Approved University

NEET Score

To study MBBS abroad, Indian students generally need to qualify the NEET exam, but the required score varies by country and university. While some countries may only require the NEET qualifying marks, others have specific score requirements or even accept students without NEET if they don't plan to practice in India.

NEET Qualifying Marks:

  • General Category: 137 out of 720.
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): 107 out of 720.

NEET Score Validity:

  • NEET scores are generally valid for 1 year within India.
  • However, for MBBS abroad, NEET scores can be valid for 3 years from the date of result declaration.

Countries that accept NEET scores for MBBS:

  • Russia:NEET scores are generally required, and qualifying marks (137 for General, 107 for Reserved) are often sufficient. Some universities may have slightly higher minimum scores, around 120-150 for General,

Budget

NEET Score

 Factors Influencing the Cost:

  • Country:Countries like the USA, UK, Australia, and Canada tend to be more expensive for both MBBS and MBA programs. Cheaper options include countries in Eastern Europe (Russia, Ukraine), some parts of Asia (China, Philippines), and Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan).
  • University:Public universities are generally more affordable than private institutions.
  • Program Type:Certain MBA specializations or accelerated programs might have higher tuition fees.
  • Living Expenses:Costs vary significantly based on the city and lifestyle.
  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:Opportunities exist for scholarships and financial aid, which can significantly reduce the overall cost.

Tips for Affordability:

  • Research:Thoroughly research universities and programs in different countries to find the most cost-effective options.
  • Scholarships:Explore scholarship opportunities offered by universities and external organizations.
  • Financial Aid:Investigate student loans and financial aid options from banks and financial institutions.
  • Living Expenses:Consider living in more affordable cities or opting for shared accommodation.
  • Part-time work:Check the rules and regulations regarding part-time work opportunities for international students in your chosen country.

By carefully considering these factors and taking advantage of available resources, you can make studying MBBS or MBA abroad a more financially feasible goal.

Select Your University.

  • Kazakhstan:Similar to Russia, NEET qualifying marks are generally sufficient, with some universities potentially requiring scores in the 120-150 range.
  • Georgia:NEET qualifying marks are often accepted, but some universities may prefer scores in the 130-160 range.
  • Kyrgyzstan:NEET qualifying marks are typically required for MBBS.
  • China:Some universities in China may accept NEET scores, but the required score is typically higher, around 150-200.
  • Other Countries:Countries like the Philippines, Nepal, and Bangladesh may also require or accept NEET scores for MBBS admissions.

Countries where NEET may not be required:

  • USA:NEET is not required to study medicine in the US. Students need to appear for the MCAT and USMLE exams for licensing.
  • UK:NEET is not required for MBBS in the UK. Students need to qualify for the PLAB exam.
  • Other countries:If students don't plan to return to India to practice medicine, they may be able to find MBBS programs in some countries without requiring NEET scores.

Important Considerations:

  • Even with a qualifying NEET score, it's crucial to check the specific requirements of each university and country.
  • NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines for MBBS abroad must be followed, especially if students plan to practice in India after completing their degree.
  • The duration of the MBBS program, the curriculum, and the clinical internship requirements are also important factors to consider.
